FUJIAN LONJING HELPS BAYANNUR ZIJIN NON-FERROUS METALS CO.,LTD.'S SELF-OWNED POWER PLANT ULTRA-LOW EMISSION PROJECT BECOME A NATIONAL 'CLEAN HEATING' RENOVATION BENCHMARK PROJECT

The ultra-low emission retrofit project of the 2×260t/h CFB boilers for the self-owned power plant of Bayannur Zijin Non-ferrous Metals Co., Ltd., undertaken by Fujian Lonjing, is a national subsidy project under the national air pollution control 'Clean Heating' program. The project uses carbide slag as a desulfurizing agent, with the inlet sulfur dioxide exceeds 2000 mg/Nm³, it steadily achieves ultra-low emissions of particulate matter ≤5 mg/Nm³, sulfur dioxide ≤20 mg/Nm³, and nitrogen oxides

Bayannur City has long been renowned as the "breadbasket beyond the Great Wall, the naturally  endowed Hetao region." In recent years, it has continuously promoted the optimization of its energy structure and ecological governance. In 2022, the local government introduced the "Subsidy Policy for Ultra-Low Emission Clean Heating of Small and Medium-Sized Boilers," aiming to promote green transformation of enterprises through financial support. Bayannur Zijin  actively responded to the policy and 

Based on thorough research and evaluation, and considering technical capabilities and project timelines, Bayannur Zijin has ultimately decided to entrust this ultra-low emission retrofit project to Fujian Lonjing.

The project started construction in September 2023. Facing the time pressure to complete the flue gas introduction by the end of 2023, Fujian Lonjing, with strong support from the owner, fully leveraged its advantages of full-industry-chain of:

1.Design Acceleration

Integrated the engineering team and completed the construction drawings in 10 days, reducing the usual timeline by 50%;

2.Construction Coordination

By using modular prefabrication and overlapping work patterns, the civil construction period has been reduced to 25 days;

3.Production Support

Relying on self-owned manufacturing  base and key equipment manufacturing, we commence production in advance to ensure seamless installation and commissioning.


The project ultimately completed the installation and commissioning of the main equipment within three months under the premise of 'zero accidents and high quality,' meeting the contractually agreed deadline of December 31, 2023 for two units, shortening the construction period by 20% compared to similar retrofit projects. 

This project uses carbide slag as an absorbent for ultra-low emission devices, optimizes the desulfurization ratio inside and downstream the boiler, further reduces energy and material consumption, and lowers carbon emissions. It not only ensures the energy supply for the plant but also provides winter heating for surrounding areas, helping to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the local energy structure. It is a successful practice of coordinated industrial pollution control and clean heating under the 'dual carbon' goals.
